Living conditions

The Ithaca animal welfare association takes care of how much it can improve the welfare of animals by doing various actions.

In collaboration with other animal welfare associations, they find shelter in dogs that have either been abandoned by their owners and are stray or because their owners for various reasons can not continue to care for them.

Also on the island many dogs live under ugly conditions and tied in small chain. The association to improve the living conditions of these dogs encloses, where possible, the spaces so that the dogs can at least move a little freely.

As mentioned above, the Ithaca’s animal welfare association takes care of finding hospitable homes for dogs that their old owners could not offer them better living conditions.
In the following pictures you see how a dog lived before the club’s intervention (left image) and how he now lives in his new home (right image).
